Hello Syed, Thanks for contacting us. You are eligible to write the actuarial exams. To write these professional exams, you need to first become a student member. Student membership is given to students who pass the entrance exam conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India. This entrance exam is called as Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET). The exam is conducted twice in a year, in the month of June and December. It is an online exam and all the questions are multiple choice. You may get more details about ACET from the official website of Institute of Actuaries of India. Please visit the following link to get more information about ACET.

Syllabus of ACET has lot of topics which are studied in Higher Secondary standard (10+2/Class 12). You will be tested for conceptual understanding of Mathematics and Statistics principles. Looking at the previous results, It can not be considered as an easy exam. It definitely requires a planned study schedule, hard work and determination. If you have studied Mathematics at 10 + 2 / Graduation level, it will be relatively easier for you to clear the exam. If you are an Engineer, then you may have to spend less time learning concepts, since you have studied them earlier. But you will have to practice problem solving along with effective time management in order to crack the exam in the first attempt.
We provide coaching to prepare for the entrance and main actuarial exams. To get more details about our coaching program, please click here. We wish you success in your endeavours.
